Dragon Well Tea (龍井), known as Longjing, is Zhejiang’s most celebrated green tea — revered for the precision behind its craft. Harvested in early spring from select cultivars, only the youngest shoots are hand-plucked to capture their peak complexity and freshness.
After picking, the leaves are laid on bamboo sieves, softening their raw edge and awakening a subtle, nutty aroma. Once rested, the leaves are brought to life through a time-honored technique: tossing, pressing, and flattening. Guided entirely by hand, this process requires precision and intuition—each motion coaxing out the tea’s vibrant green character, preserving its gentle aroma.
The result is a cup that is soft and rounded, with notes of toasted almond, fresh grass, and a light buttery finish. Its pale green liquor offers clarity, sweetness, and a calm vegetal warmth that lingers — a quiet tribute to the mountains of Zhejiang and centuries of refined craftsmanship.
