Imperial Chrysanthe (徽州貢菊) is a flower once destined for emperors—now prepared for moments of quiet clarity.
Harvested in the highlands of Huangshan, only the fullest flowers are chosen—golden-centered, dew-fresh, and perfectly symmetrical. This is GòngJu, the tribute chrysanthemum once offered to Song Dynasty courts for its beauty and restorative calm.
Crafted by hand, each blossom is gently dried to preserve the flower’s structure and clarity. When steeped, the bloom opens slowly — petal by petal — into a floating lotus. The liquor glows pale amber and carries a light yet resonant aroma: apricot, and the crispness of white grape. The taste is cooling and clean, with a quiet sweetness that recalls ripened persimmon.
Once a tribute tea for the Song Dynasty, today this is a tea of contemplation.
