English Black No. 9 (英紅九號) is a competition-grade black tea born from collaboration and curiosity — a varietal developed by the Guangdong Tea Laboratory, finished in our workshop using a fusion of Eastern craftsmanship and English black tea.
The leaves are bold and lustrous, with a hint of golden sheen that hints at the richness to come. Once steeped, the tea blooms into a vivid red liquor, bright and clear in the cup.
On the palate, it opens full and rounded, with a layered profile of honeyed sweetness, floral lift, and stone fruit depth. A pronounced malty note anchors the experience, while a lingering aftertaste rises — warm, brisk, and clean.
Originally designed for excellence on the judging table, this batch of English Black No. 9 represents the best of hybrid tea-making traditions, marrying precision with expressive character.
