Aureate Roast (焙煎麥茶) is our refined expression of roasted barley tea—crafted for those who value quiet depth over overt flourish.
We begin with whole organic barley, soaked, lightly steamed, and slowly roasted in single layers. This small-batch method— inspired by Kyoto traditions develops depth without harshness. Each batch is hand-turned to maintain even temperature, ensuring its natural sugars caramelise gently."
The resulting infusion is clear and light golden, offering subtle notes of grain, and a gentle trace of toasted nut. Its texture is clean and softly structured, with a round sweetness that lingers in a finish both grounded and composed.
Aureate Roast adapts to the moment: serve it warm in cooler months to bring out its quiet richness, or chilled in summer for clarity and calm. Either way, it stands best on its own—requiring nothing but presence.
